One Third of men under 40 live at home. From our friends over at Just a Guy Thing found this feel good story.

"A recent survey revealed that one in three men under the age of 40 still live at home.
The study of 3,000 men and women in Britain found that women fare better living independently, with only 20% still living with their parents at age 40.

Men clearly did not fare as well. Even worse, a full one in 4 men who have left the nest still keep a fully furnished bedroom at their parent’s place in case they need to return. Of those living at home, cost was cited as the main factor, with nearly 60 percent saying they live with the ‘rents to save money.

More than half of the homebodies also admitted their mothers still cook for them and do their laundry. An astounding 18 percent of men 20 to 40 have their lunch packed for them every morning. The credit crunch is also playing a factor. One in five who live at home do so because of the recession. But 12 percent also confessed that they liked being taken care of by their mothers."

I don't know about you guys but I moved out of the folks place at 17. Really? 18% of men 20 - 40 have their lunches packed every morning? I get the money saving thing but pick up the slack losers!

After WWI many U.S. soldiers moved to the Californian desert to find physical and emotional healing. In 1934, they erected a memorial to honor their fallen comrades, a single white cross, a symbol used around the world to memorialize those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

The site for the memorial was chosen because at a certain time of day, the sun casts a shadow on the rock which resembles a WWI doughboy. For more than 75 years, the memorial has stood as a reminder that there were those who fought and died for our freedoms. But sadly today, the ACLU and a federal judge in California, want to tear it down. In fact, the judge has ordered the memorial covered from view while the case is on appeal.

Fire crews on Monday morning came to the aid of a man in his 60s who passed out while hiking Camelback Mountain.

Members of the Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tempe fire departments located the man about two-thirds up the mountain on Echo Canyon trail, near 6101 East Cholla Lane in Paradise Valley, shortly after 10 a.m.

They hydrated the man, who had little or no water with him. He also complained of shortness of breath, said Capt. Shelly Jamison of the Once the man's condition was stabilized, firefighters expected to remove him from the mountain on foot or via helicopter. <Full Story Here>

A man was killed Monday morning after he reportedly drove his vehicle off the edge of the Grand Canyon National Park.

Around 6 a.m., Canyon officials received reports of a car over the edge near the El Tovar Hotel, according to a statement released by park spokeswoman Shannan Marcak. The reports indicated that the driver of a blue passenger car had driven over the edge, Marcak said.

Once they arrived, investigators found tire tracks that led to the edge, behind Thunderbird Lodge, authorities said. <Full Story Here>

Suddenly, a rich tourist comes to town. He enters the only hotel, lays a $100 dollar bill on the reception counter, and proceeds inspect the rooms upstairs in order to pick one for the evening.

The hotel proprietor takes the $100 dollar bill and runs to pay his debt to the butcher.

The Butcher takes the &100 dollar bill and runs to pay his debt to the pig farmer.

The pig farmer takes the $100 dollar bill, and runs to pay his debt to the supplier of his feed and fuel.

The supplier the $100 dollar bill and runs to pay his debt to the town's prostitute who, in these hard times, gave her "services" on credit.

The hooker runs to the hotel, and pays off her debt with the $100 dollar bill to the hotel proprietor to pay for the rooms that she rented when she brought her clients there.

The hotel proprietor then lays the $100 dollar bill back on the counter so that the rich tourist will not suspect anything.

At that moment, the rich tourist comes down after inspecting the rooms, and takes his 100 dollar bill, after saying that he did not like any of the rooms, and leaves town.

No one earned anything. However, the whole town is now without debt, and looks to the future with a lot of optimism . And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how the United States Government is doing business today.

Study takes step toward erasing bad memories

LONDON, Feb 15 (Reuters) - A widely available blood pressure pill could one day help people erase bad memories, perhaps treating some anxiety disorders and phobias, according to a Dutch study published on Sunday. The findings published in the journal Nature Neuroscience are important because the drug may offer another way to help people suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and other problems related to bad memories.

This stuff is going to be huge once the Obama hangover kicks in.

Isn't annoying when you use history to drive your point home and then someone actually does some fact checking?

"President Barack Obama has turned fearmongering into an art form. He has repeatedly raised the specter of another Great Depression...It is bad history because our current economic woes don't come close to those of the 1930s. At worst, a comparison to the 1981-82 recession might be appropriate. Consider the job losses that Mr. Obama always cites. In the last year, the U.S. economy shed 3.4 million jobs. That's a grim statistic for sure, but represents just 2.2% of the labor force. From November 1981 to October 1982, 2.4 million jobs were lost -- fewer in number than today, but the labor force was smaller. So 1981-82 job losses totaled 2.2% of the labor force, the same as now.

Job losses in the Great Depression were of an entirely different magnitude. In 1930, the economy shed 4.8% of the labor force. In 1931, 6.5%. And then in 1932, another 7.1%. Jobs were being lost at double or triple the rate of 2008-09 or 1981-82.

Other economic statistics also dispel any analogy between today's economic woes and the Great Depression. Real gross domestic product (GDP) rose in 2008, despite a bad fourth quarter. The Congressional Budget Office projects a GDP decline of 2% in 2009. That's comparable to 1982, when GDP contracted by 1.9%. It is nothing like 1930, when GDP fell by 9%, or 1931, when GDP contracted by another 8%, or 1932, when it fell yet another 13%.

Auto production last year declined by roughly 25%. That looks good compared to 1932, when production shriveled by 90%. The failure of a couple of dozen banks in 2008 just doesn't compare to over 10,000 bank failures in 1933, or even the 3,000-plus bank (Savings & Loan) failures in 1987-88. Stockholders can take some solace from the fact that the recent stock market debacle doesn't come close to the 90% devaluation of the early 1930s."

But Alexander Cheplevsky sparked panic on flight Aeroflot 315 when he began to speak. If not for any other reason than the fact that they just passed a new traffic law where you can now get pulled over for DRIVING TOO SLOW IN THE LEFT LANE! Yup...an actual traffic law that I can get behind and pray that it makes its way to Arizona:

Colorado Statutes 42-4-1013. Passing lane - definitions - penalty:
(1) A person shall not drive a motor vehicle in the passing lane of a highway if the speed limit is sixty-five miles per hour or more unless such person is passing other motor vehicles that are in a nonpassing lane or turning left, or unless the volume of traffic does not permit the motor vehicle to safely merge into a nonpassing lane.

(2) For the purposes of this section:
(a) "Nonpassing lane" means any lane that is to the right of the passing lane if there are two or more adjacent lanes of traffic moving in the same direction in one roadway.
(b) "Passing lane" means the farthest to the left lane if there are two or more adjacent lanes of traffic moving in the same direction in one roadway; except that, if such left lane is restricted to high occupancy vehicle use or is designed for left turns only, the passing lane shall be the lane immediately to the right of such high occupancy lane or left-turn lane.

(3) A person who violates this section commits a class A traffic infraction.
